Merida in Extremadura - a Roman city full of splendour
We arrived in Merida and parked in the free street parking just a few minutes walk to the historic town. The first thing that hits you is the Roman aqueduct. A 23 metre tall structure that takes you right back to Roman times
The old town is just delightful with it's small independent shops lining narrow streets and dotted with the remains of the once great, Roman city
