Muxia in Spain
This tiny fishing village sits at the top of Spain, within Galicia. Many years ago, this tranquil place was rocked by the wreck of the oil tanker, the Exon Valdese. Oil destroyed the beaches and the wildlife.
Today it's a working fishing port and a lovely tourist destination, mainly for Spanish locals.

We first visited Muxia, twenty years ago and now in 2026, little has changed.
Parking for motorhomes is plentiful and free. The council allow camping near the port with spaces for around 20 vans. No camping behaviour is permitted as normal.

A five minute walk up the hill and along the seafront and you arrive at the beautiful church that overlooks the sea.
