Fuengirola, Andalusia, Spain
Many years ago, we lived in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol so we know pretty much everything there is to know about this amazing holiday resort.
With it's impressive, very flat sea front and a stunning, traditional town, it offers so much for vistors.
The marina areas includes a traditional fishing port that still works to this day, alongside modern boats.

There are two beaches in Fuengirola, both with golden sand and awarded Blue Flags.
All along the beach you will find bars and restaurants. In the summer you must try the fresh sardines cooked on open coals.
When it comes to motorhomes and campervans, options are limited. There are very few places for wild camping. No motorhomes are allowed on the seafront in the summer.
The port has a car park where you can pay a fee to stay overnight and it's very safe.

Fuengirola is the ideal base for exploring Malaga and beautiful towns such as Ronda. The train runs from Fuengirola to Malaga and right to the airport.
The N340 highway runs all along the coast making it easy to get to all the coastal locations. There's also a toll road further out of town if you need to get somewhere quickly.
